You are knowledgeable on the menu and wine list, and are able to accurately take orders from the guests and translate special requests and details to the kitchen staff. All tasks and interactions are done in a way that upholds the company’s mission, vision, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current food handler’s permit and liquor permits or ability to obtain prior to hire Must be at least 18 years old At least 2 years prior food service experience in a similar position Capable of learning to operate the computerized cash register system Demonstrated ability to work as a team and work independently Excellent attention to detail Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time, go up and down stairs, walk, bend, reach, stoop, lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Greet guests immediately in a courteous, friendly manner Describe menu and beverage items and take orders in a timely fashion Serve guests quickly and efficiently, and clear each course from the table per service standards Ensure presentation of check is prompt and accurate, and payment is processed and completed accurately and efficiently Be knowledgeable of menu items, including drinks and specials, and provide suggestions and recommendations when needed Complete side work and end of shift responsibilities Leave the wait area clean and organized, and ensure the dining room is set and cleaned per policies Complete check reconciliations and bank drops completely and accurately Other duties as requested and assigned by your manager Uphold the company’s Mission/Vision/Values
